Privacy Policy

The short version

This site has no server side. The tool runs in your browser. We do not receive, see, or store the links you paste or the thumbnails you download.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account system, no sign-in, no comment section, no contact form that submits to us, and no analytics on the page today. When you paste a link, it goes to YouTube, not to us — there is no code on this site that could send it anywhere else.

What your browser sends out

Two requests leave your browser and go to Google's servers:

img.youtube.com — the thumbnail files themselves
www.youtube.com/oembed — the video title shown above the results

Because those requests go to Google, Google sees your IP address and which video you looked up. We do not, and we add no identifier of our own to those requests. The file you download comes from YouTube's server to your device; it does not pass through us and we keep no copy.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, the host can see the standard information needed to serve a page — IP address, requested URL, user agent — in its own logs. We do not run any database or logging of our own.

Cookies

We set none. The tool needs no cookies to work, and it stores nothing on your device.

Advertising

There is no advertising on the site as of the date above. This site may display third-party advertising in the future. If it does, that advertising is served by a third party, and that provider may set its own cookies and collect its own data under its own privacy policy — not under this one. This page will be updated before any advertising appears.

Children

This site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, so it holds no data about children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page. The "last updated" date at the top changes with it.
